On 27th and 28th October, city of Qingdao, China, organized a wushu competition named “2018 The 8th International kongfu Festival Qingdao China”. Members of School of Kung Fu and Tai Ji achieved great success – they won 21 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals. After the competition, many of them enjoyed traveling over the China.
17th-24th October 2014, wushu festival “The 10th Zhengzhou China International Shaolin Wushu Festival” took place in city of Zhengzhou, China. The main event of the festival was the wushu competition with more than 1800 from 63 countries. We attended this competition, master Wang Yingshen and competitors Michal Bendel (Feng mo gun), Dáša Bráciníková (Ba ji quan, Schuang dao), Diliana Durkajová (Yang taiji quan 24, Yang taiji jian 32), Róbert Durkaj (Yang taiji jian 32), Michal Hlaváč (Shaolin gun), Denisa Laffersová (Chang quan, Jian shu), Tomáš Macháček (Chang quan, Dao shu), Martin Poláček (Quidin quan, Dao shu).
Also this year, we brought several awards:
In addition, we were one of 10 teams, which were awarded for outstanding number of points.
When we arrived to Zhengzhou, the representative of city of Zhengzhou along with the journalists were waiting for us to welcome Slovak team in China. You can find more about this welcome directly in the article of Zhengzhou newspapers (in Chinese).
10th-12th October 2014, we attended international Shaolin festival in London, “3rd Shaolin Culture Festival Europe”. Wushu competition was part of the festival. 541 competitors came from 57 teams of 14 countries. We were there as well: master Wang Yingshen and competitors Michal Bendel (Feng mo gun, Yang taiji quan 24), Dáša Bráciníková (Ba ji quan, Schuang dao), Lucia Krchová (Gun shu, Nan quan), Denisa Laffersová (Chang quan, Jian shu), Tomáš Macháček (Chang quan, Dao shu), Lenka Švolíková (Tong bei quan, Qiang shu), Hana Zelinová (Ba ji quan, Dao shu), Karol Zmoray (Nan quan, Pu dao).
We won great awards:
Among 57 teams, 8 of them were gained special prize for outstanding number of points. Our team was one of these 8 teams.
Along with the competition, the festival hosted also various presentations of wushu, exhibitions of calligraphy, traditional tea ritual, traditional Chinese medicine. At the end of festival, 70 monks from Chinese Shaolin temple made a great performance of wushu.
